Amal Academy is a Stanford University supported training to develop professional skills for a successful career and life. I joined it in 2019 summer session batch number 102, I spent 3 months learning new techniques and polishing my skills for my professional career life.

Amal academy taught us the main principles for successful professional life also gave us many lessons, summarized in these points:

  • Work hard and keep working
  • Time management, stress handling
  • Power of teamwork and how it affects our professional life (1+1=11)
  • Be a lifelong learner
  • Have a purpose in life, live to achieve it
  • Leadership is for everyone, we all can become a leader
  • Steps for writing a powerful resume and cover letter
  • How to be at your best in interviews
  • Tips for being the best team player
  • Advises on how to become a better person
  • Practices for building our confidence
  • Activities for better public speaking
  • Spread kindness and show humanity in every step of life

The most important lesson I learned was “leadership is for everyone”

We always thought leadership is for someone in authority or in a high position, we had this wrong concept of leadership that only strong people can be leaders, or only the boss can be a leader. But all these wrong concepts were clear after being part of Amal family, I learned that I can be a leader in my place or my community, I can lead my family, my friends, and people around me, leadership is not about having authority to lead, it is about having the encouragement to take the lead and the first step.

This lesson will be forever attempting in my life, I will definitely help all people around me by taking the lead, not just that I will help them to become a leader, to take the lead and the first step towards what they want to do, this is what Amal always taught us we help each other, we spread the knowledge we gain.

Being part of Amal was an honor, I feel proud of myself that I ended this journey with such huge knowledge, amazing experiences, polished skills, becoming a better version of myself, happy memories, and getting along with best facilitators sir Tayyab K. Khan, mam Aalia Aslam, and mam Anum Nasir.

Now I’m able to handle stressful work, manage my time to complete my tasks, show humanity and kindness in my daily routine, I have the confidence to present my work, I can understand other’s minds, more accepting of people’s behavior, I can write an effective blog, can go for an interview without any nervousness, can suggest with hesitation, can overcome any hurdle, now I’m a better version of myself.

I’m thankful to Amer Palwasha who told me about Amal, and I’m grateful to the Amal team for their efforts and hard work, those Amal sessions will be always in my memories, online courses will be always in my mind, specially benje williams voice will be always roaming in my head.

It is damn hard to say goodbye to Amal, but I’ll go smiling knowing the memories and the knowledge I have will stay forever within me.

شكرًا ♥️ Amal Academy
